Party Nails with ILNP Mutagen (H) and Cique Colors Mirror, Mirror

Happy New Year, dear reader! I hope your holiday season was relaxing and invigorating and you got everything you wanted, or at least the gift money to get it for yourself! Sandra’s manicure today includes one of the polishes I insisted my husband buy for me (by which I mean I bought it for myself and then let him hold onto it until Christmas morning), and a polish I got earlier in the month that I’ve been meaning to swatch. Aside from that though, today I have some cute cupcakes from my new stamping plates, and a wee bit of glitter on Sandra’s nails. Sandra’s had a bit of breakage lately, and I keep harassing her to moisturize more, but it’s an uphill battle. I know she;s working on it though. See more after the break.

Perigean Tide Gradient & Stamped Nail Art

Early this morning, the moon reached its first perigee for the month, meaning it’s the closest to earth in its orbit. This leads to higher than average tides, and since I was completely stumped for nail art ideas for the week between Halloween and Remembrance Day, I settled on doing tidal based art. Blame my Dad, he’s a huge astronomy nerd. See more pictures and what I used for this look after the break.
