My manicure for the first day of December is a little more subtle than my usual fare, with a beautiful blue crelly glitter, and a holo purple stamped in a swirling wind design. I think it looks like a pretty, stormy snow day, or a good day to curl up in a blanket on the couch with a hot chocolate (or yummy tea), and a movie or a good book. Find out what I used after the break.
KBShimmer – Snow Way! is the lovely blue crelly with matte white hex glitter in at least 3-4 sizes and some added holo sparkle. Depending on the lighting it can be a surprisingly bright blue, but it leans towards periwinkle most of the time. This is three coats of Snow Way with two coats of Poshé Fast Drying Basecoat and one more coat of Poshé Super-Fast Drying Topcoat. I find the combination of those two used as a set of top coats makes it very easy to smooth out glitters, so I don’t find a big edge and start picking away at it.
I used Moyou Sailor Collection 06 for the windy swirls. They are likely intended as swirling water or waves, but I was thinking outside the box. There were at least two others on the plate I could have used instead, so I got my husband to choose for me.
My husband also chose Color Club – Eternal Beauty for my stamping polish, out of that and a black holo from the same collection. I like the subtle look to it, but I think would have been more comfortable with the more contrasting black.
How do you like it? Is it snowing where you are yet? I live in the San Fransisco Bay area, and it’s been raining a bit, but it never snows here in the valley. We are definitely getting into sweater weather in the mornings and evenings, and I am vaguely considering turning the heat on for a couple hours (but coming here from Atlantic Canada, I have a mental block on turning the heat on when it’s still warm out during the days). My schedule is getting back to normal, so I’m sure I’ll see you all on Wednesday. Have a great Monday!
Love this manicure! Such beautiful colours :)! Where I live (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) there is no snow yet. Snow is sort of a special thing here. I do have to turn on the heat because it is quite cold outside.

We’re getting quite the rain storm here these past couple days. We can totally use it though, since the state is in an extreme drought. It can rain all it wants to, as far as I’m concerned! It’s still reasonably warm though. A light jacket or a hoodie sweater is just fine for most of the time. I have to wear full fingered bike gloves to save my fingers, but that’s a pretty small concession. It’ll get cold here in another month or two. It’s weird though, because I look at the calendar, and think it’s wrong since the weather is telling me that it can’t possibly be December yet. :P
